Description
Flaps are a type of high-lift device used to reduce the stalling speed of an aircraft wing at a given weight. Flaps are usually mounted on the wing trailing edges of a fixed-wing aircraft. Flaps are used to reduce the take-off distance and the landing distance. Flaps also cause an increase in drag so they are retracted when not needed. Made of aluminum and steel, this Inner Landing Flap remain in EXCELLENT condition! In barn-find condition, it was found after the war. There is NO major corrosion or damage, however, there is one hole as you can see in the photos. Still retain 75% of the original RLM76 Camouflage Paint! Some marks and wear, but nothing that takes away from the overall appearance. Comes complete with the original mounts/fittings, as seen in the photos! Still retains the ORIGINAL Me262 Part Date Plate, clearly indicating, “262.510”. I have shown its location in the last photos. An INSANELY RARE item, it would make a FANTASTIC addition to any collection, display, or restoration project! |
