Description
Mounted on the main instrument panel, this clock needs no introduction. It was made famous throughout the war as the standard German Aircraft Cockpit Clock. It was usually mounted on the front or side cockpit consoles and features a chronometer, adjustable bezel, and a 15-minute timer.
Made of aluminum with a brass bezel, this 1st model Junghans clock is in EXCELLENT used condition. It retains 95% of its original paint (RLM66), and features the screw on back. Some light marks and scratches throughout from age, but nothing that detracts. The dial still glows at night (must be charged with UV light), and “Junghans” is prominent on the dial. Note that much of the luminescent paint is missing from the numbers. 100% FUNCTIONAL, however, it is missing the second hand (easy replacement). Note that the scratches you see are on the plexi (not the dial), and are not as prominent as the photos suggest (this was due to camera flash). This is the RAREST and most sought-after variant! Would make a FANTASTIC addition to any collection, panel re-build, or restoration project!
