The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 Würger (English: Shrike) is a German single-seat, single-engine fighter aircraft designed by Kurt Tank in the late 1930s and widely used during World War II. Along with its well-known counterpart, the Messerschmitt Bf 109, the Focke-Wulf 190 Würger became the backbone of the Luftwaffe’s Jagdwaffe (Fighter Force). The twin-row BMW 801 radial engine that powered most operational versions enabled the Fw 190 to lift larger loads than the Bf 109, allowing its use as a day fighter, fighter-bomber, ground-attack aircraft and, to a lesser degree, night fighter.
Made of aluminum, steel, and Phenol/Bakelite, this is an EXTREMELY RARE set, and not usually found on the market. Recovered from a Fw190 Factory and Assembly/Repair Plant in Germany, and brought back by a US Serviceman (along with all the other Fw190 Assembly parts I currently have listed). They are a mixture of unused and used parts, consisting of wiring connectors and mounts, bakelite disks for pulley wheels, and phenol wiring retainers for both the fuselage and firewall!! Due to the age, there are some slight marks and wear, and some were painted to prevent any furtehr corrosion. Some parts have the famous Fw190 Part number stamped into the sides (see photo). NOTE THAT THE ITEMS MARKED IN RED ARE NO LONG PART OF THIS LOT. 100% ORIGINAL, this set contains VERY hard to find items, and would make a FANTASTIC addition to any collection, display, or restoration project!
