You are bidding on an VERY RARE example of a 100% ORIGINAL WW2 German Modellflug-Leistungsabzeichen (Flying Model Aircraft) Achievement Badge/Pin Set!
This 2nd Pattern Award set was designed in an effort to draw interest in flying and aeronautics among young people, by establishing modeling groups (Modellfluggruppen) that was open to members as well as sponsors. They were awarded in standard bronze, as well as a gold “Special Grade”.
Made of Zinc and Bronze-Plated Alloy, this badge set is in VERY NICE used condition! Both the badge and pin feature a Glider diving into a cloud within an Oak Leaf Wreath. The badge itself is approx 39mm in diameter, and has a hinged pin at the reverse. The markings on the back of both the badge and stick pin indicate the patent, #261943; and serial number, #084, making this a MATCHING set. The stick pin is approx. 20mm. in diameter. 95% of the original bronze finish remains on the stick pin, however as typical with Zinc badges, the finish has worn off the larger badge. A FANTASTIC addition to any collection or display!!

All sales are final, so please make sure your questions are answered to your satisfaction before you purchase.
——————- ABOUT ME —————–
Although my passion is the Me109, I do offer many other German Aircraft (Fw190, Me262, etc.), as well as USAF and Japanese items. Occasionally I do offer many non-vintage items such as prints and art relating to the time period. As a private collector myself, I am constantly on the lookout for historical memorabilia, authentic photographs, artwork or anything unique relating to military aircraft.
