You are bidding on a VERY RARE used example of WW2 German Kriegsmarine Foul Weather Leather Jacket! This type was specifically used by Navy Personnel and various U-Boats and Ships!
Manufactured in a heavy black leather, this is an EXCELLENT combat-worn example. As it is in used condition, it shows various wear, marks, stains, and holes, but is still quite solid otherwise. All buttons are original, but appear to have been replaced war-time. Some of the threads that retain the buttons are quite intact, however some fo the threads are quite loose due to the age. The left side breast area features two original sewn-on loops that attached a U-Boat Badge…and the right breast area features thread holes where the original KM Adler was originally sewn onto the jacket. – proving 100% this was used by a U-Boat seaman…probably an officer. Features large pockets maps, a pistol, or other accessories. Also has a smaller internal pocket. Around a small/medium in size. Probably produced pre-1941, as later jackets were grey in color. Overall a FANTASTIC and VERY RARE addition to any collection or display!
