WW2 German Heer Luftwaffe K98 Bajonette x2 – 41 FNJ – MATCHING SERIAL BLOCKS!

Description

You are bidding on a SUPERB set of TWO WW2 German Vet Pick-Up K98 Bayonets.  Each comes complete with the original scabbard!  The RARE feature of these, is that they are identical in condition, and are from the same serial block (49 numbers apart).

Made of bakelite and steel, these German K98 Bayonets are in EXCELLENT condition considering theirs age.  Brought back by a US veteran, and made by fnj (Alexander Coppel), there are some slight marks due to the age.  The blades do show some very minor marks, stains, and wear, but neither have been sharpened.  The scabbards are 100% matching, but also features some marks and wear.  The knifes features dark bakelite grips, and are marked:

41 fnj

5681

41 fnj

5632

The scabbard condition matches those of the knifes, with some minor marks and scratches due to the age.  They are marked:

41 fnj

5681

41 fnj

5632

I suspect these were picked up from factory, as they are NOS condition.  It is also possible that the 2nd one was supposed to be sequential and stamped, “5682” (3 stamped instead of 8), but that is just speculation.  There is a waffenampt on the finials, but too small for me to make out.  As these match in condition, with and are in the same number block, I am selling these as a set only (I will not sell individually).  Some of the NICEST FNJ bayonets I have seen, they would make a SUPERB addition to any collection or display!

——————- TERMS OF SALE —————–

Most of my items are vintage, and as such are AS-IS, so you must therefore expect a degree of wear due to age and/or usage. I will describe each auction to the best of my knowledge and take as many photos necessary to ensure you are pleased upon receiving your item. All sales are final, so please make sure your questions are answered to your satisfaction before you purchase.

——————- ABOUT ME —————–

Although my passion is the Me109, I do offer many other German Aircraft (Fw190, Me262, etc.), as well as USAF and Japanese items. Occasionally I do offer many non-vintage items such as prints and art relating to the time period. As a private collector myself, I am constantly on the lookout for historical memorabilia, authentic photographs, artwork or anything unique relating to military aircraft.
