|You are bidding on an AMAZING example of a 0-750 km/hr Fahrtmesser (Airspeed Indicator), Fl. 22240! Similar to the Fl. 22241 (900 km/hr.), it was most likely used in the early-war Me262, Me163, Do335, and He219!
This gauge is a late war version, produced between 1944 and 1945. Located on the main instrument panel, it measured the current airspeed of the aircraft.
Made of black bakelite, this instrument is in SUPERB unused condition! 100% of the original finish remains, and there are no major scratches, dents, or damage to the bakelite! The Fl. label is 100% complete, indicating Fl. 22240. This is the compensating type, that displayed a more accurate velocity at low speeds. One of the NICEST speedometers I have seen of this type! I have indicated similar types in the last photos. Would make a FANTASTIC addition to any collection, display, or restoration project!
