You are bidding on an EXCELLENT example of a WW2 German German Red Cross Subordinates Hewer!  it comes complete with the original scabbard!

Made of nicel/silver plate steel, this Hewer is in SUPERB condition for its age!  Approx. 15″ long, the blade is in superb, unsharpened condition.  The brown leather washer is also still intact!  Features a DRK style national eagle with down-swept wings, a highly embossed swastika to it’s breast, and a traditional Greek style cross in it’s talons, on a slightly recessed, pebbled background.  The reverse has a vertical oval plate, which was used to engrave the owner’s name.  The unique shaped, horizontally oval, integral, plain pommel is intact. The hewer has black bakelite grips that are held in place by two countersunk screws.  The hewer comes with it’s original, black painted scabbard with a nickel/silver plated top and bottom fittings. Retains 90% original paint!  Would make a SUPERB addition to any collection or display!
