You are bidding on a SUPERB 1941 1:2000000 German Fliegerkarte (Pilot Map) as used by both Fighter Pilots and Bomber crews for navigation. This map is the VERY RARE TWO-SIDED cloth version, and is titled “Luft-Navigationskarte in Merkatorprojektion” (Air Navigational Map in Mercator Projection). One side covers, Nordwest-Russland (North West Russia), while the other side covers Westrussland u. nordl. Vorderasien (Western Russia and Northern Middle East). It measures a VERY NICE 34″ x 47″ in size!
This map allowed the pilot to properly calculate his flight path. It is made heavy oil cloth.
Produced by the Generalstab der Luftwaffe and made of oil cloth, this map is in AMAZING condition for its age. It measures a LARGE 3 feet x 3.5 feet in size, and covers both North West Russia and Western Russia/Middle East on both front and back.

It features 2 black printed Luftwaffe Eagles on the top of each side, and shows various locations of lakes, seas, towns, villages, cities, and elevations. Also features longitude and latitude degree markings, as well as the Luftwaffe Pilot Grid.
The bottoms indicate, “Herausgegeben von Generalstab der Luftwaffe 1940” (Issued by the General Staff of the Air Force 1940). It remains in SUPERB used condition, with only slight marks and wear.
