Description
The Waltham Type XA was a size 37; 8-day; 7 jewel movement. The XA was subjected to higher level performance tests than the model XX (the XX movement being used in automobile and desk clocks).
Made of white metal, brass, and steel by Waltham, this Cockpit Clock is in VERY NICE used condition! Though it is a bit dirty, it retains 95% of it’s original paint! Various marks, scratches and wear due to the age, but nothing that detracts. Clearly marked, “AS” (Air Service), indicating it was produced between 1918 and 1926. 100% functional, however as it has need be serviced in 50 years, it may need a cleaning to keep accurate time. Would make a FANTASTIC addition to any collection or display!
