You are bidding on a SUPERB example of a WW1 German / Prussian Heer Ceramic Award Tankard! As this was a presentation piece to a member of the 42nd Infantry Division.

Made of ceramic, this presentation stein is one of a kind item! It does have some marks, scratches, and wear due to the age, but otherwise quite solid. Features an image of a WW1 Iron Cross on the main panel; as well as a “42” inscribed in the handle (see photo) The pewter lid is still attached perfectly, with no breaks or damage, and there is a clear manufacture stamp on the bottom. Would make a PERFECT addition to any collection or display!
