Description
First introduced in 1847, the Bavarian belt buckle was used by personnel of enlisted ranking. Originally these were produced in a 50mm width until 1895, when the width was reduced to 45mm. They were made of brass with a nickel/silver face plate, until 1914, when production changed to steel.
Made of brass with a nickel/silver face plate, this M1895 Prussian EM/NCO Belt Buckle is in FANTASTIC used condition! Some slight marks and wear, but nothing that detracts. It clearly features the motto of the Kingdom of Prussia, “Gott Mit Uns” surrounding a crown in the center. Similar to the WW2 version, it has a raised catch and dual prong to attach to a leather belt. Approx. 45mm wide. Would make a PERFECT addition to any collection or display!
