Description
You are bidding on an AMAZING and 100% ORIGINAL WW1 German Navy Kaiserliche Marine Atmospheric Pressure Gauge, as used on various Submarines!
Made of brass and aluminum and manufactured between 1939 and 1945, this is a VERY RARE instrument and indicates Atmospheric Pressure. As the normal Pressure within a submarine was kept at 1.00 atm, this was most likely used as an emergency gauge, for whenever it dipped below that. It is in EXCELLENT used condition, and shows normal wear and patina from being 100+ years old. Some marks, scratches and wear. The dial is still very legible, indicating:
Manometer
(Pressure Gauge)
Atmospharen
It is made by Schaeffer & Budenberg, which is the EXACT manufacturer of the instruments shown in the last photos (UB-110). Not sure of the exact location, as there were dozens of instruments installed. A SUPERB item, it would make for a PERFECT addition to any collection or display!
