You are bidding on a FANTASTIC used example of a WW1 German / Prussian Fliegertruppe Leather Pocket Watch Strap, as used only by various pilots!

Manufactured before 1918, when wrist watches did not exist. The invention of this leather strap allowed pilots to carry their pocket watches on their wrist for ease of use. This led way to the invention of the modern wrist watch.

This pilot’s leather watch strap is in EXCELLENT used condition. It is the typical type as used by WW1 aviators, and is designed to fit a smaller watch. The leather band is still quite solid, but a bit dry to the age. Some slight wear due to the age, but no cracks or damage! No manufacture markings that I can see. A VERY NICE and original item for any collection, or display!
