WW1 German Army Bundesheer Taschenuhr – POCKET / TRENCH WATCH – RARE!

You are bidding on a VERY NICE used example of a WW1 German Bundesheer Issue Trench Pocket Watch! These were issued as Christmas Gifts to the soldiers during the first year of the war.

Made of Brass with a nickel-plated case, this Trench Watch is in EXCELLENT functioning condition! Though the crystal shows some light scratches, the dial and hands are in near MINT condition, with NO damage or corrosion! Note that because I use a camera flash, the scratches show up more pronounced than they actually are in person. The dial is marked, “Feldzug 1914“, and was manufactured on the date 1914/15. Being in used condition, the case does show some signs of wear (scratches, marks, patina), but it is in otherwise VERY NICE condition for its age. Note that I have taken photos both with and without a flash. Though it is 100% functional, the movement (unknown marker) is made with no jewels, so it will need to be wound all the way in order to get started. Due to the age, and the fact that it has not been serviced in over 50 years, the winning bidder is most likely going to have to get it cleaned for daily use. Though not shown, I have an original WW1 leather aviator wrist strap arriving for this watch, that I will include. A VERY RARE piece of history, it would make for a VERY NICE addition to any collection, or display!
