You are bidding on a FANTASTIC used example of a WW1 French Army / Air Service Model 1917 Signal Flare Pistol! These were stored in the cockpit for both on the ground signaling, and for in the air.

Made of brass and wood, this Flare Pistol is in EXCELLENT used condition! Made early in the war, it retains approx. 90% original paint and finish! Made to easily fit in the hand, there are some very slight marks and wear, but nothing that detracts. 100% complete, it is totally functional! All manufacture markings are clear, indicating “G.G. & Cie”. Fires 25mm flare cartridges. Would make a FANTASTIC addition to any collection or display!
