You are bidding on a SUPERB and VERY RARE example of a WW1 US Army Air Service 400HP Liberty L-12 Wood Aircraft Propeller!  Used on the DH-4, DH9, and other US-Built aircraft, this was converted during the war to display a captured German Barometer, and an 8-day Aircraft Clock!  Sadly, I do not have any history with this specific item.

Made of wood and brass, this is an AMAZING piece of history!  Some VERY slight marks and wear, due to the age, as you can see in the photos, but still solid!  All markings are clearly intact, and indicate:

AB 878  I  H 3B
D2970   P2260

It separates into 2 pieces for easy transport, and retains a WW1 German Barometer in the top section, and a WW1 US 8-Day Aircraft/Vehicle Clock in the lower section!  BOTH the Barometer and Clock are FULLY functional, however they will need to be adjusted/calibrated for accuracy.  I have shown the exact propeller type in the last photo.  Would make an EXCELLENT addition to any collection or display!

Please email me if you need additional photos or information.

——————- TERMS OF SALE —————–

Most of my items are vintage, and as such are AS-IS, so you must therefore expect a degree of wear due to age and/or usage. I will describe each auction to the best of my knowledge and take as many photos necessary to ensure you are pleased upon receiving your item. All sales are final, so please make sure your questions are answered to your satisfaction before you purchase.

——————- ABOUT ME —————–

Although my passion is the Me109, I do offer many other German Aircraft (Fw190, Me262, etc.), as well as USAF and Japanese items. Occasionally I do offer many non-vintage items such as prints and art relating to the time period. As a private collector myself, I am constantly on the lookout for historical memorabilia, authentic photographs, artwork or anything unique relating to military aircraft.
