You are bidding on an AMAZING unused and BOXES set of WW2 US Army Airforce Type B-8 Polaroid Pilot Goggles! These were used by pilots in all branches of service throughout the war.

B-8 flying goggles were the first to use a rubber frame instead of metal. This type by Polaroid came with a set of different colored lenses to use during changing weather conditions. They have a single aperture lense and had a greater resistance to fogging and an improved field of vision than the earlier B-7 type.

Made of rubber and plastic by the Polaroid Corporation, these Pilot Flight Goggles are in AMAZING unused condition! All the rubber is flexible, and there is NO damage to the elastic strap! What is interesting is that these came shipped from the manufacture with the tinted lens temporarily attached on the outside of the frames. No rips or tears to the frames, and NO signs of use. Maker marked. Headband still retains its elasticity. They come with a set of spare lenses (2 of each color), that are VERY straight, without the normal warping you see! Stored in a cloth bag that is Army inspection marked. Original instructions are also included! EASILY the BEST set I have ever seen, they would make a PERFECT addition to any collection or display!
