Description
You are bidding on a NICE example of a WW2 USMC / US Navy Type NAF 1092 Leather Summer Flight Helmet! This was used by most pilots and navigators in the early stages of the war.
Made of goatskin/leather, the NAF 1092 was the standard issue flying helmet for US naval aviators and Marine Corps pilots between 1937 and 1943. It featured a fleece lined chin cup, and was able to utilize the TH-37 earphones.
Made of a brown leather, this flight helmet is in GOOD used condition. The leather is still flexible, however there are some marks, wear, and stains due to the age. No earphones are present, however it still has the original chin cup! Clearly marked with the manufacture label and size. Would make a PERFECT addition to any collection or display!
