You are bidding on a NICE set of WW2 US Navy 6×50 Mark 91 Submarine Binoculars.  These were mounted in the Conning Tower of Navy Submarines!

The US Bausch & Lomb MK 91 and MK 93 model binoculars were mounted permanently on the submarine conning tower bridges and coud resist undersea pressure.  Some bases were very large, depending of the weight of the binocular and other attachments.  Watertight, they feature built-in filters as well as a lamp housing to illuminate the reticle.

Made of a cast steel by Bausch & Lomb, this set of binoculars is in GOOD used condition!  Manufactured later in the war, they retain 95% of their original paint!   Various markings throughout, with obvious wear due to the age.  Also some salt water corrosion on the base, indicating it was pulled from a submarine.  Comes with the VERY RARE mounting stand as well as the lamp housing.  Data Plate is missing.  Sadly, many years ago, someone removed the screw at the inlet valve…and as such, there is dirt (and cobwebs) inside the optics. As such, they would need a clean in order to be used correctly.  Rubber eye shield is still intact. Weighing approx. 40 lbs., they would make a PERFECT addition to any collection or display!

——————- TERMS OF SALE —————–

Most of my items are vintage, and as such are AS-IS, so you must therefore expect a degree of wear due to age and/or usage. All sales are final, so please make sure your questions are answered to your satisfaction before you purchase.

——————- ABOUT ME —————–

Although my passion is the Me109, I do offer many other German Aircraft (Fw190, Me262, etc.), as well as USAF and Japanese items. Occasionally I do offer many non-vintage items such as prints and art relating to the time period. As a private collector myself, I am constantly on the lookout for historical memorabilia, authentic photographs, artwork or anything unique relating to military aircraft.
