WW II US ARMY / NAVY – LOAD ADJUSTER SLIDE RULE / CALCULATOR – C-46 – NICE!

Made of wood and plastic this is of late-war production and is in GOOD used condition! Specific to the C-46 E&F “Commando” Transport Aircraft, it is 100% FUNCTIONAL!  This item allowed the crew to calculate the most optimal bomb, fuel and ammunition load for a given mission, balanced against the weight of other equipment, seats, bunks, and the crew themselves. The reverse of the instrument also shows a simplified diagram of the fuselage layout of the aircraft. Comes complete in the leather original case, that is marked “US Government Property”.  Approx., 12″ in length, it would be a PERFECT addition to any collection, restoration project or simply for display!
