Description
You are bidding on a SUPER RARE 100% original WW2 Soviet VVS Aircraft “3” Tactical Marking on Fabric Skin! Recovered by a German Aircraft Mechanic who served on the Eastern Front, this was cut from an aircraft on a captured airfield.
Made of lightweight fabric, this section is in AMAZING condition! 95% of the ORIGINAL Green Camouflage paint remains, along with a VERY PROMINENT “Blue 3″! Original WW2 Soviet aircraft fabric is EXTREMELY rare as it usually burned up or rotted away over time. Measuring approx. 8″ x 18” in size, there are some slight wear, tears, and marks, due to the age. Still retains 95% of the original mid-war camouflage paint! Due to the pattern and colors, this would date between 1939 and 1941. Not sure of the aircraft type it was removed from, but most likely from an I15, I-153, IL-2, Il-4, Pe-2, Pe-8, or Su-2. I have shown where it was located in the last images. Removed by a German Aircraft Mechanic who served on the Eastern Front. A SUPERB piece of history, it would make a FANTASTIC addition to any collection or display!
