Description
You are bidding on a SUPER RARE 100% original WW2 Soviet VVS Aircraft Yakovlev Tactical Marking on Silver Fabric Skin! Recovered by a German Aircraft Mechanic who served on the Eastern Front, this was cut from an aircraft on a captured airfield. It originates from the Rudder or Fuselage of an early I-15, I-153, R-10, YaK-2 or similar aircraft!
Made of lightweight fabric, this section is in AMAZING condition! 95% of the ORIGINAL early-war Silver Camouflage paint remains, along with a VERY PROMINENT Black “8”! Original WW2 aircraft fabric is EXTREMELY rare as it usually burned up or rotted away over time. Measuring approx. 12″ x 14″ in size, there are some slight wear, tears, and marks, due to the age. Due to the pattern and colors, this would date between 1939 and 1941. I have shown and I-153 with a near EXACT marking on the rudder! Removed by a German Aircraft Mechanic who served on the Eastern Front, and cur fabric sections from captured aircraft. A SUPERB piece of history, it would make a FANTASTIC addition to any collection or display! Please note that the shipping cost listed is based on the fabric being ROLLED. Due to the fragility of the fabric, the winning bidder may want to have it sent flat, which would be an additional expense. |
