You are bidding on a VERY RARE example of a 100% ORIGINAL WW2 Russian Main Wing Access Hatch! Used on various aircraft, it was recovered from a wreck in Europe, however I do not have any loss history.
Made of aluminum and steel, this access hatch is in VERY NICE relic condition!!! Recovered from a wreck in Europe, it was manufactured between between 1941 and 1945, and was located on the top of each wing. This type of hatch was made for easy access to the wings vital components, such as electrical, ammunition, etc. Though it does feature some slight corrosion and bends, it is still VERY solid! Features MUCH of its original green camouflage paint! Easily identifiable as being from a Soviet aircraft, due to the latches and construction, however, I am not 100% sure the specific aircraft it originates from. Features a stencil on the top. I have indicated a similar wing hatch on the IL-2 in the last photos. Measuring approx. 5″ x 7″ in size, it would make a SUPERB addition to any collection or display!

——————- ABOUT ME —————–
Although my passion is the Me109, I do offer many other German Aircraft (Fw190, Me262, etc.), as well as USAF and Japanese items. Occasionally I do offer many non-vintage items such as prints and art relating to the time period. As a private collector myself, I am constantly on the lookout for historical memorabilia, authentic photographs, artwork or anything unique relating to military aircraft. If you are looking for anything specific and cannot locate it, feel free to contact me as I probably have it or at the very least, a contact who does!
