You are bidding on a FANTASTIC and VERY RARE example of a WW2 Japanese Navy Seikosha Deck Chronometerr Outer Box!
Made of wood with a satin/velvet interior, this box is in VERY NICE condition for its age! Some marks and wear throughout, but nothing that detracts. Used to house a Seikosha Chronometer Deck Clock, the Kanji on the top translate to:
Greenwich Mean Time
Standard Time Clock
Though the chronometers come up from time to time, the outer boxes are NEVER found. I have shown how the deck chronometer is stored inside in the last 3 photos. Note that the chronometer shown is NOT part of the listing, and is for reference only! Like most Japanese items, it is a VERY RARE item, perfect for any collection or display!
