Description

You are bidding on a VERY NICE example of a WW2 Imperial Japanese Army Radio Transmitter, as ONLY used with the Type 94-5 radio wireless station! This item was brought back by a US veteran who served in WW2.

The Type 94-5 was considered the Company and Battalion level radio set. The Battalion signal company would send a radio team down to each company to provide communication back to the battalion. The battalion also used these sets to stay in touch with regimental headquarters. The set was transported in two chests, with one of the chests containing the transmitter, the receiver and the accessory bag.

This station is made up of a receiver, a transmitter, a hand cranked generator and related accessories. The transmitter is a small, one tube set, powered by a hand cranked generator.

Made of steel and aluminum, this receiver is in EXCELLENT used condition!  Features some wear and marks due to the age, but nothing that detracts.  Apart from one missing knob, the radio itself is 100% complete!  The data plates are 100% intact, including a prominent warning label indicating, “Army Top Secret”.  I am not sure if it is functional, so I am selling it as-is.  A VERY RARE item not normally seen on the market, it would make a PERFECT addition to any collection or display!

All sales are final, so please make sure your questions are answered to your satisfaction before you purchase.

——————- ABOUT ME —————–

Although my passion is the Me109, I do offer many other German Aircraft (Fw190, Me262, etc.), as well as USAF and Japanese items. Occasionally I do offer many non-vintage items such as prints and art relating to the time period. As a private collector myself, I am constantly on the lookout for historical memorabilia, authentic photographs, artwork or anything unique relating to military aircraft.
