You are bidding on a VERY NICE example of a WW2 Imperial Japanese Army Type 92 Field Telephone, as used by the Japanese military throughout WW2!
There are three types of Japanese field telephones, known to exist. The standard telephone was the Type 92. This is a beautiful piece of workmanship, with a wooden case with brushed aluminum fittings.
Made of aluminum and steel by, this phone is in EXCELLENT used condition! Complete in the original leather case, the top cover features two latches, then when depressed, opens to reveal the headset mike, and the line connections. Both the earphone and the microphone are together with a cast metal horn extending down for the mouthpiece. There is also a “push to talk” lever along one side of the assembly. Internally, there is a button for morse-code communication, an electrical diagram, battery holder, on/off switch, and and a front speaker. Front of the phone has a sliding panel that reveals the speaker. The original data plate is also still intact. Comes complete with all the original accessories and wiring! The screwdriver is missing, but the wrench is still inside. Sadly, the top to the leather case has come away…but it could easily be re-stitched. A VERY RARE and PERFECT addition to any collection or display!

As a private collector myself, I am constantly on the lookout for historical memorabilia, authentic photographs, artwork or anything unique relating to military aircraft.
