You are bidding on an EXTREMELY RARE variant of the WW2 Imperial Japanese Army Type 92 Field Telephone, as used by the Japanese military throughout WW2!
There are three types of Japanese field telephones, known to exist. The standard telephone was the Type 92. This is a beautiful piece of workmanship, with a wooden case with brushed aluminum fittings.
Made of aluminum and steel by “OKI”, this phone is in EXCELLENT used condition! The top cover features two latches, then when depressed, opens to reveal the headset mike, and the line connections. Both the earphone and the microphone are together with a cast metal horn extending down for the mouth piece. There is also a “push to talk” lever along one side of the assembly. Internally, there is a button for morse-code communication, an electrical diagram, battery holder, on/off switch, and and a front speaker. Front of the phone has a sliding panel that reveals the speaker. Sadly, the original data plate is missing. Based on the construction, I suspect this is an early type, as the mid-war and alter types were either made of wood an aluminum, or all wood. The ONLY ONE of its type that I have ever seen in my years of collecting, it would make a VERY RARE and PERFECT addition to any collection or display!

——————- ABOUT ME —————–
Although my passion is the Me109, I do offer many other German Aircraft (Fw190, Me262, etc.), as well as USAF and Japanese items. Occasionally I do offer many non-vintage items such as prints and art relating to the time period. As a private collector myself, I am constantly on the lookout for historical memorabilia, authentic photographs, artwork or anything unique relating to military aircraft.
