You are bidding on a SUPERB example of a WW2 Imperial Japanese Army 5 x 10 Degree Trench Periscope & Case! Brought back by a US Veteran, this was specifically used by Army personnel fighting in the field.
Made of aluminum and steel this 5 x 10 degree Trench Periscope and Case is in AMAZING used condition! It retains 95% of it’s original paint, and markings, as the optics are VERY CLEAR (though it does show some dust particles). No fogginess, spotting, or chips on any of the glass! Focus adjustment also works perfectly. Features the manufacture logo and information on the front, as well the serial number “7894”.
The case itself retains most of it’s original paint, as well as the original data plate. Data plate has the serial number “7674”. Some light wear, scratches and marks due to the age, but no damage or corrosion! The canvas strap is also the original to this set!
Would make a SUPERB addition to any Japanese or Optic collection!
