WW II German Panzer Kasten Z23 – RADIO FUSE BOX – Tiger Panther – RARE!

Out of stock

You are bidding on an EXTREMELY RARE example of a 100% original WW2 German Wehrmacht / Luftwaffe Panzer Kasten Z23, as in various Tanks and Tank Destroyers!

The Panzer Kasten Z23 is the Panzer hull-based fuse box. It is used to connect the 12 Volt battery to all three umformers and the slip ring. The Z23 must be very well grounded to reduce electrical interference from the system.

Used as the main fuse box for the radio power supply, this item is in VERY NICE semi-restored condition!  Still retains its original paint (possibly re-painted post-war by the French), it is 100% COMPLETE.  The original lid was missing on this example, so a temporary one is currently installed.  Features all connections, however some of the retaining screws are loose.  Could use some further restoration.  Some slight marks, wear, and pitting, due to the age…but comes complete on the ORIGINAL mounting bracket!  The bracket is SPECIFIC to the Panther!  I have shown its exact location in the last photos (Panther).  One of the most difficult pieces of radio equipment to find, it would be a PERFECT addition to any collection or restoration project!

Please email me if you need additional photos or information.

——————- TERMS OF SALE —————–

Most of my items are vintage, and as such are AS-IS, so you must therefore expect a degree of wear due to age and/or usage. All sales are final, so please make sure your questions are answered to your satisfaction before you purchase.

——————- ABOUT ME —————–

Although my passion is the Me109, I do offer many other German Aircraft (Fw190, Me262, etc.), as well as USAF and Japanese items. Occasionally I do offer many non-vintage items such as prints and art relating to the time period. As a private collector myself, I am constantly on the lookout for historical memorabilia, authentic photographs, artwork or anything unique relating to military aircraft.
