You are bidding on a SUPERB set of WW2 German Kriegsmarine Leitz 7×50 U-Boat / Ship Binoculars & Case!

The German Army and Navy used a wide variety of optical equipment, including a 6×30 (6 power magnification with 30mm objective lens), 7×50, 8×30, 8×60, 10×50 and others, being the standard issued optics used by all branches of service.  Though this type was the standard, specialized personnel required strongeroptics, and were issues to personnel on a limited basis.  This specific binocular was used by U-Boat crews, ships, and coastal artillery.

Made by Leitz of a large tooled alloy and aluminum construction, these 7×50 binoculars are in NICE used condition!  The lens bodies retain about 75% of their original, rough textured, black finish, with various marks and wear throughout.  The left eyepiece focal adjustment works perfectly, however the one on the right side slips (will need to be adjusted).  Optics are a bit out of alignment, but are quite clear with no dust particles (a bit foggy, however).  Comes complete with the original rain shield and retaining strap!  “7×50” “beh” (indicating manufacture of Ernst Leitz) are stamped on the left side.  Sounds like something is loose internally, so these would need a bit of a cleaning/overhaul.

These also come with the original and RARE tall-type binocular case!  Though the KM Adler has been removed, it is probably one of the NICEST cases of this type I have seen!  Still has the original strap, and there are no breaks, damage, or wear!  One lens filter is included.  Stamped “beh   1943” on the side.  A PERFECT addition to any collection or display!

——————- TERMS OF SALE —————–

Most of my items are vintage, and as such are AS-IS, so you must therefore expect a degree of wear due to age and/or usage. I will describe each auction to the best of my knowledge and take as many photos necessary to ensure you are pleased upon receiving your item. All sales are final, so please make sure your questions are answered to your satisfaction before you purchase.

——————- ABOUT ME —————–

Although my passion is the Me109, I do offer many other German Aircraft (Fw190, Me262, etc.), as well as USAF and Japanese items. Occasionally I do offer many non-vintage items such as prints and art relating to the time period. As a private collector myself, I am constantly on the lookout for historical memorabilia, authentic photographs, artwork or anything unique relating to military aircraft.
