Description
Mounted on both the 34 and 42 Lafette Tripod, the MGZ 34 optical sight was allowed the shooter to have their head lower and thus less exposed when aiming through the sight. This was eventually replaced by the later (and more common) MGZ 40 Aiming Scope. Made of aluminum and steel by Voigtlander, this aiming scope was manufactured between 1934 and 1942. Though it has some marks, scratches, and wear, it still retains 90% of its original Dunkelgrau camouflage paint, with NO major damage or corrosion! The manufacture information is stamped into the side, indicating:
