Description
This Drehzahlmesser (Tachometer) connected to the DB601/DB605 via a steel cable and mounting system/connection. This SPECIFIC connection then attached directly to the engine, to generate the correct RPM reading for the Drehzahlmesser (Tachometer) on the main control panel. This indicated to the pilot the current engine speed. This was used on the Me109, Me110, and other aircraft that utilized a mechanical tachometer.
Made of aluminum and steel, this Drehzahlgeber Mount / Drive Connection is in FANTASTIC used condition. 95% of the original finish remains, and it is clearly marked. Drive unit turns freely, so it should be okay for an airworthy aircraft. this was attached to the starboard side cylinder bank, and I have shown its location in the last images. Would be fantastic item for any restoration, repair, or simply as a conversation piece!
