Description
The requirements for this watch were black dials for clear visibility, luminous hands, and Arabic numerals. Backs were to be screwed, in order to prevent dirt and moisture from entered the case.
This Luftwaffe Hanhart Chronometer Wrist Watch is in AMAZING functioning condition, and featured on page 362 of Dr. Konrad Knirim’s, “Military Timepieces book. EASILY one of the nicest examples I have seen in my years of collecting. This is a single pusher with rotating bezel, and comes with a modern reproduction strap, that matches the original. The casing features approx 95% original finish, and though there are some very slight scratches and some very minor wear throughout, it is otherwise near PERFECT! The dial is FANTASTIC, with only some slight paint loss. The movement is a PERFECT example of a wartime calibre, with nothing replaced. Markings and hands glow when UV light is applied. Some scratches on the back. This is 100% FUNCTIONAL in every way, and has had a recent service. EASILY one of the rarest and sought-after chronographs produced during the war. An AMAZING and 100% ORIGINAL example, PERFECT for any collection or display!
