Description
This switch was used to turn on the main power for the MW-50 or GM-1, which sent Methanol into the engine. This added an extra boost (similar to today’s Nitrous Boost in cars) that lasted usually 10-30 seconds. It was located on the main instrument panel of the Me-109, and was also used in other electrical applications on the Me262, Fw-190, Ju-88, Me-110. Ju-87, etc.
Made with an aluminum housing, this switch is in very nice condition. It is made by Siemens and retains 80% of its original RLM66 paint! The number Fl. 32350 is clearly stamped into the housing, and it appears to be fully functional! I have indicated it’s location in the last photo. Would make an PERFECT addition to any collection, display, or restoration project!
