The Ju 88S was the result of an attempt to increase the speed of the aircraft. Work began in the new design late in 1942 and production aircraft began to appear late in 1943. Performance was improved by removing any items that would cause unnecessary drag, such as the dive brakes and external bomb racks. The original glass nose was replaced by a smooth transparent nose cap, modelled on the solid nose used on the fighter variants. Powered by two 1,700hp BMW 801D radial engines, the prototype aircraft reached a top speed of 332mph.
Made of plexiglass, this Ju88 Windscreen/Nose section is in SUPERB unused condition! There are some slight scratches and marks, but overall VERY SOLID with no damage. Originating from a late-war Ju88 S-1, the part number has faded over time (usually these were lightly stamped or inscribed on the edges). Measuring approx. 13″ x 23″ in size, and 1/4″ (4mm) thick, I have indicated the EXACT position in the last photo. Would make an EXCELLENT addition to any collection, display, or restoration project!
Note that as I have multiple quantities, the item you receive may looks slightly different in condition than the example depicted. Example shown is the least quality one I have (most I have are not heavily scratched, as this one shows).

——————- TERMS OF SALE —————–
Most of my items are vintage, and as such are AS-IS, so you must therefore expect a degree of wear due to age and/or usage. I will describe each auction to the best of my knowledge and take as many photos necessary to ensure you are pleased upon receiving your item. All sales are final, so please make sure your questions are answered to your satisfaction before you purchase.
——————- ABOUT ME —————–
Although my passion is the Me109, I do offer many other German Aircraft (Fw190, Me262, etc.), as well as USAF and Japanese items. Occasionally I do offer many non-vintage items such as prints and art relating to the time period. As a private collector myself, I am constantly on the lookout for historical memorabilia, authentic photographs, artwork or anything unique relating to military aircraft.
