This map allowed the pilot to properly calculate his flight path. It is made heavy oil cloth, and tinted yellow, for easy visibiblity during fight flying.
Made of yellow-tinted oil cloth, this map is in VERY NICE condition for its age. It measures a LARGE 2.5 feet x 3.5 feet in size, and covers Western Russia and Southeast Asia on the front; and Northwest Russia on the reverse.
First side is labelled, “Zusammendruck: Westrussland u. Nordliches Vorderasien” (Western Russia and Northern Southeast Asia). While the second side is labelled, “Zusammendruck Nr. 5 Nordwest Russland (Northwest Russia).
Overall it covers Moscow, Murmansk, Leningrad, the Black Sea, Caucasus Mountains, Caspian Sea, Leningrad, and areas of Finland. Shows various locations of lakes, seas, towns, villages, cities, railways, and elevations. Also features longitude and latitude degree markings. Also has two 2nd pattern eagles at the top.
Some creases and folds, but nothing that takes away from the overall appearance. Map date is 1938 with printing date of 1940.
A VERY RARE and FANTASTIC addition to any collection, display, or simply as a conversation piece!

——————- TERMS OF SALE —————–
Most of my items are vintage, and as such are AS-IS, so you must therefore expect a degree of wear due to age and/or usage. I will describe each auction to the best of my knowledge and take as many photos necessary to ensure you are pleased upon receiving your item. All sales are final, so please make sure your questions are answered to your satisfaction before you purchase.
——————- ABOUT ME —————–
Although my passion is the Me109, I do offer many other German Aircraft (Fw190, Me262, etc.), as well as USAF and Japanese items. Occasionally I do offer many non-vintage items such as prints and art relating to the time period. As a private collector myself, I am constantly on the lookout for historical memorabilia, authentic photographs, artwork or anything unique relating to military aircraft.
