Description
The M31 canteen was based on the M1893 and M1907 canteen which were used throughout WW1. These were originally manufactured in aluminum, but as aluminum was required for use in other equipment (aircraft, for example), they were then re-designed to be manufactured in steel. For tropical climates, the canteen was made of pressed wood with canvas straps.
Made of wool felt, this canteen cover is in EXCELLENT UNUSED condition! Some marks and wear, but nothing that detracts. Made in the Czech Republic, it is probably one of the BEST reproduction examples you can find! Would make a PERFECT addition to any collection or display!
