You are bidding on a VERY NICE example of a WW2 German Heer Boot Knife / Close Combat Trench Knife! It comes complete with the original scabbard! This was brought back by a US Serviceman in 1945.
As bayonets were typically long and heavy, some soldiers ended up privately purchasing various styles of hunting knives. Throughout WW2, numerous manufactures produced these types of knives, available for both private purchase and military issue.
Made of deer antler and steel, this late-war German Combat Fighting Knife is in EXCELLENT condition considering it’s age. The blade does show some marks, stains, and wear, but nothing that detracts. The scabbard is included, and is original to this knife. Interestingly, the US Serviceman scratched a symbol into the scabbard. Would make a SUPERB addition to any collection or display!

As a private collector myself, I am constantly on the lookout for historical memorabilia, authentic photographs, artwork or anything unique relating to military aircraft.
