Description
Johannes Friessner (22 March 1892 – 26 June 1971) was a German General in the Wehrmacht during World War II. He was a recipient of the Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves. Assigned to the Eastern Front on 1 May 1942 and placed in command of the 102nd Infantry Division. Shortly after his promotion to Generalleutnant, Friessner served as commander of the XXIII Corps. He briefly held command of Army Group North before being sent to the southern front to command Army Group South. Made of heavy card, this postcard is in EXCELLENT condition! Featuring a photographic image of Johannes Friessner, it is signed in ink at the bottom. Some marks and wear due to the age on the reverse, but nothing that detracts. Also comes with a correspondence letter dated 1962. 100% original, it would look EXCELLENT framed! A PERFECT addition to any collection or display!
