WW II German Army Air Force Panzer Gurtsack 34 – TANK STORAGE BAG #2 – NORMANDY!

Out of stock

You are bidding on a VERY NICE used example of a WW2 German Luftwaffe / Wehrmacht Gurtsack 34!  Used to store 150 rounds, these were carried on various Bankers, Tanks and Halftracks throughout the war, such as the Panzer II thru VIIB, Panzerkampfwagen 38(t), Sd.Kfz. 251 (late), and others!  This was found in Normandy after the war.

Made of steel, leather and canvas, this is an EXCELLENT used example!  Though there are some slight marks, holes, and wear, it is VERY solid!  Some corrosion on the lid…and sadly, the lid has come away, and will need to be reattached.  Retaining much of its original paint and finish, it features a some clear manufacture stamps.  Part of the leather tab is broken, but it is still functional.  Leather is a bit dry, so I would suggest having it treated.  This was found in Normandy after the war, and I will provide the location to the winning bidder.  Would make a FANTASTIC addition to any collection, display, or restoration project!

——————- ABOUT ME —————–

Although my passion is the Me109, I do offer many other German Aircraft (Fw190, Me262, etc.), as well as USAF and Japanese items. Occasionally I do offer many non-vintage items such as prints and art relating to the time period. As a private collector myself, I am constantly on the lookout for historical memorabilia, authentic photographs, artwork or anything unique relating to military aircraft.
