You are bidding on an EXTREMELY RARE example of a WW2 German Luftwaffe Windrechner WR2 (Navigation Computer), Fl. 23001, used in almost every German bomber aircraft throughout the war such as the Do17, He-111, Ju-88, Ju-87, Do-217, and others.
This is the 1st model type of the navigation computer, produced in 1940. Pilots and flight personnel used this device to accurately plot the flight bath to their destination. It would aid in the calculation of time, speed, distance, airspeed, pressures, densities and temperature,
Made of plastic and metal, this Windrechner is in EXCELLENT condition for it’s age. It is 100% complete, and clearly indicates the Fl. 23001. The DR2 that is included shows a manufacture date of November 1940. There is no damage or corrosion, and it is 100% functional! The frosted panel on the reverse allowed the pilot to write in pencil, and then easily erase afterwards. 100% functional, the adjustment knobs move forward or backwards rotating the grid in either direction (though it does slip every once in a while. One retaining clip that holds the DR2 in place is missing, but it does not affect the function. Some marks, wear, and scratches due to the age. Would make a PERFECT addition to any collection or display!

——————- ABOUT ME —————–
Although my passion is the Me109, I do offer many other German Aircraft (Fw190, Me262, etc.), as well as USAF and Japanese items. Occasionally I do offer many non-vintage items such as prints and art relating to the time period. As a private collector myself, I am constantly on the lookout for historical memorabilia, authentic photographs, artwork or anything unique relating to military aircraft.
