WW II German Aircraft Wartungsklappe – ACCESS HATCH – Ju88 A5 Bomber w/HISTORY!

You are bidding on a SUPERB relic example of a WW2 German Luftwaffe Wartungsklappe (Service Hatch), used on various German aircraft such as the Me109, Me110, Ju-87 and others!  This specific item came from the wreck of RARE Ju88 A5!  This aircraft was lost in the Mediterranean after accidentally being shot down by Italian fighters and Flak…after being mistakenly ID for an allied aircraft.  I will provide additional details to the winning bidder.

This hatch was located on various places on the fuselage and wings of the Ju88  It allowed for easy access to the weapons charging system, oxygen filler tanks, hydraulics, etc. 

Made of aluminum and steel, this is in EXCELLENT relic condition.  There is very little corrosion and it retains much of it’s original SANDGELB camouflage paint!  There are some bends and scratches, but nothing that takes away from the overall appearance.  Due to the colouring, this was located on the upper surface of the wings or fuselage.  Also features the aircraft werk number hand-painted on the bottom.  Approx. 5″ x 6″ in size, it would make a PERFECT addition to any collection, display, or restoration project!
