You are bidding on a VERY NICE and 100% original WW2 German Luftwaffe Wartungkappe Service Hatch! This was used on various fighter and bomber aircraft.
This hatch was located on various places on the fuselage and wings of the aircraft. It allowed for easy access to the weapons charging system, oxygen filler tanks, hydraulics, etc.

Made of aluminum and steel, this is an EXCELLENT relic piece! There is some slight corrosion, bends, and dirt from the wreck site, however it is still quite solid. Measuring approx. 6″ in diameter, it would make a great addition to any collection, restoration, or simply as a conversation piece!
