Description
This late style Me262 Fuel Gauge dates around 1944/1945. It was mounted on the forward instrument panel and indicated the current Fuel Capacity of the main tanks. It was ONLY used in the Me262, and therefore very rare.
Made by aluminum this instrument is in EXCELLENT unused condition and all dials work smoothly and correctly. EASILY the best one I have ever seen, 98% of the original finish remains, and the Fl. label is 98% complete! It clearly indicates “Me262” in the data area of the casing. There are a couple of marks due to the age, but otherwise quite nice. It retains a post-war 1947 inspection tag, when it was obviously tested for use in the Avia S-92 Jet (post-war Czech Me262). Box has some slight tears, but it is complete. I have indicated it’s location in the last photo. This would make a FANTASTIC addition to any collection, panel re-build, or restoration project!
