Description
You are bidding on an EXTREMELY RARE example of a late-war WW2 German Luftwaffe Trim Control Unit, as ONLY used in the Heinkel He219 “Uhu” Night Fighter!
Made of aluminum, bakelite, and steel and dating around 1944/1945, this is an AMAZING relic example. Recovered from a wreck, it does feature some marks, wear, corrosion, and calcification…but it is still VERY solid! Retains some of the original finish! The part number is cast into the side, indicating, 8-219.401-006-00 (very difficult to read). Each knob has the part number 8-219.401-007.042 molded into the bottom. it is 100% complete, but there is some damage/corrosion internally…so it will need some restoration in order to function correctly. I have replaced the 4 screws that hold the aluminum plate to the top…as well as one screw that holds one of the knobs. Otherwise, it is original in every way! I have shown its location in the alt photos. Would make an EXCELLENT addition to any collection, display, or simply as a conversation piece!
