You are bidding on a VERY RARE example of a WW2 German Luftwaffe / Kriegsmarine TF Schu Re1 (Torpedo Flugzeug Schuss Rechner 1) Torpedo Director Calculator!  This was used SPECIFICALLY in bombardier positions of the Heinkel He-111 (F/J/H/P) Torpedo Bomber to calculate the angle of attack, considering the speed of both the aircraft and target ship!

The TF Schu Re1 Torpedo Calculator was mounted inside the bombardier position, just above where the bombsight was normally mounted. It was used to correctly calculate the exact time of release when attacking ships.

Made of aluminum, bakelite, and steel, this is a GOOD example.  Though there are some scratches and wear from storage, it retains 98% of it’s original finish!  Everything appears to be mechanically functional, but I have no idea how it works.  Data plate is 100% intact, and clearly indicates the model and type.  A bit of dust and dirt from storage, but that can easily be rectified by the winning bidder.  Interestingly, it features a Kriegsmarine acceptance stamp.  Missing some parts, including the paper that should be on the cardboard roll.  I have shown the location in the He111 (P or H) in the last photo.  The ONLY one I have seen, it would make an EXCELLENT addition to any collection, display, or simply as a conversation piece!
