WW II German Aircraft Segelflugzeug Staurohr – GLIDER PITOT TUBE – DFS230 Grunau

1 in stock

You are bidding on SUPERB example of a WW2 German Luftwaffe Staurohr (Pitot Tube), Fl.22287, as used on many Luftwaffe Gliders such as the DFS230, Grunau Baby, Meise, and others!

This instrument was located on the upper or lower surface of the fuselage and measured the true airspeed, sending a signal to the main instrument panel.  The Speedometer then indicated to the pilot the current velocity.

Made of brass and aluminum by Bruhn, this piece is in EXCELLENT condition and is very solid, with only a few marks and scratches!  100% complete, it clearly indicates:

Duse  Sedu   3,5
0.16 Kg
W. 30894

Also features the makers mark of “Bruhn-Werke”.  A beautiful example, it still retains the original mounting plates.  Used on a variety of aircraft, I have indicated it’s location in the last photo.  Would make a FANTASTIC addition to any aircraft collection, or simply as a conversation piece!

Please email me if you need additional photos or information.
