Description
You are bidding on a VERY RARE example of a WW2 German Luftwaffe Rot Restandswarnlampe (Red Fuel Warning Light), Fl. 32262, as used various German fighter aircraft such as the Me109, Fw190, and Me-110!
This indicator was mounted in the main control panel of the aircraft. It flashed either red, green, or white (depending on the aircraft) whenever the fuel quantity was getting low.
Made of aluminum, this lamp is in GOOD restored condition. It has been cleaned up and re-painted, and being restored, there are some slight marks due to the age, but otherwise VERY solid! The Fl. number is stamped into the housing, indicating Fl. 32262. Rear cap was recently added, but it is original. RARE in any condition, this would be a good starter piece to fill a hole in your instrument panel. I have indicated it’s location in the last photos. Would be an EXCELLENT addition to any collection, display, or restoration project!
