Description
Used to calculate the lead angle for bomb dropping, the Navi 3 was manufactured between 1944-1945, and was used until the end of the war. Used in conjunction with a stopwatch, it was mounted into the nose of the Ju88 and Si204
Made of aluminum, bakelite, and steel and dating around 1944, this is an VERY NICE used example. It retains 95% of it’s original finish with no damage or corrosion! As it came from a downed aircraft, the glass has broken away, and the cord was cut when it was removed (both are easy replacements). Complete with the original bulb, the data plate is also 100% intact, and clearly indicates Navi 3, Fl. 52480. All adjustment function correctly, and the crosshair is 100% INTACT! The mount for the stopwatch is misisn, but those come up on auction every once in a while. Original calculation table is also included. One of the few examples I have seen, it would make a PERFECT addition to any collection, display, or simply as a conversation piece! |
